Sanders enjoys experience at State
Noxubee County wide receiver/ safety Vincent Sanders has been to Mississippi State's campus plenty of times over the years but never in the capacity he was in this weekend.
The 6-foot-3, 182-pounder, along with two of his Tiger teammates, visited the Starkville campus over the weekend as part of Dan Mullen's first junior day as head coach of the Bulldogs.
Sanders had to choose between junior days at MSU or Ole Miss this past weekend.
"One of the reasons I decided to come to Mississippi State is because two of my teammates (Earnest Harmon and Gussie Lane) said they wanted to go wherever I was going," Sanders said. "They said Mississippi State was recruiting them the hardest so that's why we came there. But that's not the only reason because I really wanted to see what Mississippi State had to offer. I've been to Ole Miss a lot of times but I had never went to Mississippi State just to talk to the coaches. I'm glad I went up there."
So after a day of reflection, what did Sanders think of things in Bulldog country?
"It was pretty nice up there," Sanders said. "I met some of the coaches that I have never met before while I was there. They showed us the players lounge and toured us around the campus. I had a real good time."
Sanders even saw two new additions in the Templeton Athletic Academic Center and the locker room that he had never seen before.
