INDIANA -- Abby Dean of Carmel, Kindell Fincher of Fort Wayne Canterbury, Mallory Ladd of Evansville Memorial, Xavielle Brown of Fort Wayne Wayne, Logan Thomas of Monroe Central and Spencer Allman of Brownstown Central are the IBCA/Pacers-Fever Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 14-19.

Dean is cited in girls District 2 after helping Carmel knock off previously undefeated Ben Davis for the Class 4A Decatur Central Regional crown. The 5-9 junior scored a team-high 16 points in the 65-62 upset that improved the Greyhounds to 22-5 and snapped the Giants' 81-game winning streak. Earlier, Dean dropped in 13 points in a 56-45 regional semifinal win over Warren Central. For the two games, she hit 5-of-8 from the field, 1-of-3 on 3-pointers and 18-of-20 on free throws.
A 5-10 freshman, Fincher is recognized in girls District 1 for the second time this season after leading Fort Wayne Canterbury (22-2) to the Class A Caston Regional crown. Fincher -- who also was honored Jan. 10-15 -- averaged 19.5 points and 9.0 rebound in two regional games. She first had 18 points and 11 rebounds in a 71-36 victory over Triton. She followed with 21 points and seven rebounds in a 69-49 win over Bowman Academy.
Ladd, a 6-0 senior, is another second-time honoree in girls District 3. The Valparaiso University recruit -- who previously earned accolades last Nov. 29-Dec. 4 -- averaged 20.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in pacing Evansville Memorial (26-1) to the Class 3A Jasper Regional championship. Ladd opened the regional with 15 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in a 51-27 rout of Silver Creek. She then added 26 points, including 20 in the first half, plus 11 rebounds in a 50-44 win over Edgewood.
The 6-2 Brown collected honors in boys District 1 for Fort Wayne Wayne (9-10). The senior guard sank seven 3-pointers en route to 36 points in an 84-61 victory over Whitko in the Generals' only game of the week. In the process, Brown passed 1,000 points for his career and finished the game with 1,035 points.
Thomas is yet another second-time recipient, also receiving recognition for boys District 2 last Nov. 29-Dec. 4. In the most recent week, the 6-0 senior guard tallied 24 points, five rebounds and eight assists in leading Monroe Central (11-8) to a 61-57 victory over Blackford. He then followed with 39 points, nine rebounds and six assists in a 75-67 win over Cowan. In the latter game, Thomas was 11-of-15 from the field and 17-of-19 from the line. For the two games, he averaged 31.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists.
A 6-3 senior guard, Allman was selected for honors in boys District 3 after averaging 29.0 points in leading Brownstown Central (17-2) to a pair of victories. First, Allman netted 25 points in a 73-52 triumph over Floyd Central. He followed by totaling 33 points and five rebounds in a 91-71 over Eastern (Pekin). He converted 8-of-14 field goals, three 3-pointers and 14-of-15 free throws in the latter contest.
This is the third season for the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association's Pacers-Fever Players of the Week program. Winners are chosen each week from each of the IHSAA's three districts. Girls winners will be chosen through the week following March 5. Boys winners will be chosen through the week following March 26.
